Tams Rehearsal Aid is a powerful piece of software designed to help you rehearse your show. It is easy to use, and most customers don’t need to use any of its advanced features.
There are times, though, when you wish you could write a little reminder in the score, like “Follow the singer!” or “Wait for light cue.” Here is how to do just that:
- From the Entry Palette (the rightmost area of the toolbar, pictured above), select the “Text” tool (top row second).
- Click at the point in the score where you want to add a reminder — it’s probably clearest if you click above the purple NTempo line. A text box appears.
- Enter your text and hit Return when you are done. Note that there is a text adjustment box in the upper right of the screen. Use it to change the font, size, and style of your note and make it as BIG and BOLD as necessary. When you are finished, press Escape to return to Play mode.
- If you haven’t done so already, select Save As… from the File menu, to save your edited score with a new name.
